Airbus is a world leader in technology and energy management.
Located 30 km south of Madrid, within the Community of Castilla-La Mancha, this centre of excellence is positioned at the forefront of techniques for the manufacture of large sustaining surfaces and stands out for the development of the most advanced manufacturing technologies with carbon fibre tape, a sector in which it is an indisputable world leader.
The Composites Centre in Illescas (Toledo) is a benchmark in the manufacture of aeronautical components in composite materials. The factory achieves a very high level of specialisation in the production of these materials thanks to its modern systems of manufacturing and inspection of these structures.
The plant has a total surface area of 300,000 square meters, and a constructed surface area of 150,000 m2, with a staff of more than 700 employees.
Sistrol has integrated more than 30,000 points. It has implemented its technical management system, installed and integrated the control of air conditioning, lighting control, energy and fires. Including all field elements, actuators and valves, electrical lines, integration of plc’s, compressed air, vacuum and cold groups, temperature meters, humidity, engineering and commissioning.
In the analytical section of the facilities, Sistrol implemented WhyB (What hides your building?) , an analytic tool that provides real time detection, diagnosis and economic assessment of any possible inefficiency of operation and energy management, both at the level of equipment and sectors, in an objective and dynamic way.
